Hey guys, this is my first blog review and what's a better way to kick it off than to review a mixtape by an up and coming unsigned artist!

Today's artist is Mir Superior. Mir is an unsigned artist from New Jersey. I found Mir working hard on Facebook promoting his music, eventually I listened to his mixtape and it is pure FIRE!

His mixtape entitled 'The Cartel Life' is a great mix of smooth hip hop, if you love inspirational lyrics then you will love this mixtape.

Track-by-track:
01. Intro.
The original is Chris Brown - Look At Me Now. The beat has a down south feel but with Mir on it, he brings a east coast flavor to it!

02. 19 With A Dream (I Do It).
I have heard a lot of remixes of Big Sean - I Do It and all of the artists and tried taking Big Sean's flow but Mir kept it real and continued to do him! Great freestyle with good punchlines!

03. Designer Diva.
Nice track with a good hook!

04. Novacane ft. Jada.
This track starts out with Mir spitting fire on the first 16 then is followed by a nice hook!

05. The Realest.
This great has a new dirty south vibe with great horns on the beat. Mir goes all the way in on this beat. The Realest!

06. Yamir's Room.
A remix of Drake - Marvin's Door. I'm glad Mir never tried singing on this track but instead he kept it real and put hot bars on the there!

07. Livin' It Up ft. Hi Def.
Starts off with a great hook by Mir. Hi Def's verse is niccccce!

08. In The Morning.
Original song is J Cole - Hit It In The Morning. Good remix!

09. Victory.
A nice inspiring track! With a southern style beat! "I throw up a number one cause number two is nothing but a S*** to me!".

10. Stuntin' Season.
Probably my least favorite track on the mixtape but he makes up for it with the rest of the mixtape!

PRODUCTION: 9/10
LYRICS: 10/10
MIXTAPE OVERALL: 9.5/10

JLS insist fame hasn't changed them.

The 'Beat Again' hitmakers think people treat them differently since they shot to fame by placing second on UK TV talent show 'The X Factor' in 2008, but the group insist they are just the same as they always were.

Aston Merrygold said: "People do treat us differently. It comes with the package, I think.

"People assume we've changed, but when they meet us they realise we're still the same.

"At the end of the day this is our job - we want to enjoy it and want it to last. We struggled to get here."

The group are aware that people are nicer to them because of their celebrity status, but have learned to pay no attention to different attitudes.

Marvin Humes said: "There are people who try to be friendlier than they were before, but as long as you can recognise that, it's fine."
